‘R-Naught 15’ Loses Friend, Exec Production Assistant

A Message from Wright Summit’s CEO and ‘R-Naught 15’ Director Vaughn Bullard

Nate Barnes

It is with great sadness I inform you of the death of close friend and Executive Production Assistant SFC (Ret) Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Barnes.

Nate is one of my oldest friends. Nearly 29 years ago, Our families were stationed together in West Germany during the Cold War era, where we met and became friends at Zweibruecken American High School. Nate graduated and eventually went on to serve his country with distinction as a US Army Green Beret.

Nate and I reconnected a few years ago over Facebook and it was like nothing had changed. He expressed an interest in learning about the technical side of filmmaking and joined Wright Summit as an Executive Production Assistant. Nate was instrumental in helping find many extremely talented individuals to join our production of ‘R-Naught 15’ and his creativity and vitality will be missed.

Those who knew Nate, know him as a humble warrior. Quiet, giving — always trying to help others, including Wounded Warriors. “De Oppresso Liber,” Nate.

SFC (Ret) Nathaniel “Nate” Barnes will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
